Staying Safe and Healthy in Nursery
We have had a super half term learning all about how to stay safe and healthy in nursery! We had lots visitors to help us with our learning including a visit from a dental nurse, a nurse and a firefighter! We had the chance to try on uniforms and to explore all of the different kinds of equipment that they use to help us … Have a look at some of our photos below:
Our Easter Service at the Chapel
Some of our Nursery children enjoyed taking part in our Easter Service at the Chapel. All children were brilliantly behaved inside the chapel and sang the songs we have been learning beautifully! We would like to wish all of our parents and children a lovely, relaxing Easter break.
More Easter fun in Nursery …
We’ve had a fabulous couple of weeks celebrating the start of Spring and Easter in Nursery. We visited the Chapel for our wonderful Easter service, shared the Easter story and talked about how Easter is celebrated – even getting the chance to taste yummy hot cross buns for our snack time!
Take a look at some of the photographs of our amazing Easter bonnets that the children have made – it was a lovely sunny day for one of our parades and the nursery children proudly showed off their creations in the school garden for the big children and their class teachers.
One of our favourite experiences, was a special visit from some gorgeous baby chicks that the children were able to carefully stroke and ask questions about .. one of our boys excitedly noticed that the chicks looked just like a ” baby Velociraptor!” Brilliant!
Nursery visit from parent to read an Easter story
One of our lovely Mum’s came to visit some of the Nursery children this week – the children had a super time listening and acting out parts of the story with her and she very kindly donated a little treat for the children too. A massive thank you Mrs Tomkins – we are so lucky to have such super support from our families in Nursery.
Physical Development workshop
Nursery had a super workshop with their grown ups this term. We hope you found it as much fun as we did and it gave you lots of ideas to try at home to help improve those gross and fine motor skills that enable our children to write. Thank you for coming! Miss Nicklin and Mrs Egerton – Brooks.
Feathery Friends visit January 2019
As part of our topic - Light and Dark. Nursery had a visit from ‘The Feathery Folk’. The children sat and listened beautifully as the owls swooped and glided over our heads. Ask your child if they can remember anything about the owls and what their names are.
