Year 1 home learning
Dear Parents and Carers,
We hope you and your families are all well. We can’t believe ‘Week Two’ has been and gone so quickly! It’s been lovely to see what wonderful work the children have been doing at home.
As it’s nearly Easter and the Easter Bunny will soon be here, we thought next week (W.C 6th April) it might be fun to do some Peter Rabbit activities! Here are some ideas down below:
1) Finger knitted bunnies https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lPnZggp_RDU
2) Research information about rabbits (non-fiction)
3) Write a non-chronological report or make a poster on ‘How to look after rabbits’
4) A character description of Peter Rabbit using adjectives.
5) A 2D shape rabbit cutting activity
6) Design a map of Mr McGregor’s garden.
7) A paper plate vegetable garden patch.
8) Read ‘Saving Easter’ ebook on Twinkl
9) Here is also a link to watch the story of Easter being told in such a lovely, creative way on CBeebies.
10) Design a new wrapper for an Easter egg!
11) Also join in singing with Easter songs on:
** We have also made a KS1 website where you can find more resources and hopefully it is a little easier to navigate with being in organised sections. We will be adding more to this website- especially the teachers reading more stories! Please see link below**
Don’t forget you can watch the teachers read their favourite stories:
*** https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dVgZARFi4Tc&feature=youtu.be ***- Miss King reads chapter 11 of the Enchanted Wood- Enid Blyton
***https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiA0pB3SoQw - A new one from Mrs Coates, The Tales of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter
P.S Please keep scrolling down to see the new resources added (we have highlighted the new bits to make this easier to find)
