On Tuesday 24th April, Key Stage 2 children took part in a number of dementia workshops hosted by Zoe from our elected charity, Alzheimer’s Research UK. The activities children took part in led to a greater understanding and awareness of dementia and the impact it can have on sufferers and their families.
A range of activities were experienced by the children including; using pipe cleaners to make neurones which then had a memory attached, creating a 3D brain which explained what each part of the brain is responsible for and also making a chatterbox which provided numerous facts about dementia. The children found the workshops informative and enjoyable and we wish to thank Zoe for visiting us. We look forward to continuing to raise money for such a worthwhile cause.
