National Deaf Children’s Society bus visits Ravensmead

On Thursday 27th February, staff from the National Deaf Society came into school to deliver a special  assembly to raise awareness about what it it means to be deaf. They demonstrated how sign language works alongside lipreading and how hearing aids help people to hear.

The children in Reception and some Y6 children got the chance to meet the team on the ‘Listening Bus’ and learn some more.
